No. TCK International Academy can provide Christian schooling at home for your family with all of the administrative resources (e.g. report cards, academic records, transcripts, etc.). TCK International Academy does not facilitate or sign off on curricula that is not a part of our own offerings.

Yes. One of the unique aspects of TCK International Academy is that every student is assigned a teacher who will partner with each student and his/her family by staying in contact with them to keep him/her moving along in the curricula. Each teacher is certified in the United States of America. They also help students who are struggling and provide support for parents. Our teachers are a major part of TCK International Academy’s dedication to the success of every student, however the ultimate success of the student at TCK International Academy comes from active parental involvement. TCK International Academy teachers understand the life of a TCK, their education challenges, and unique identity.

No. The students in the 3rd-12th grade online Ignitia system are not online at the same time. However, a teacher is available in all grades to answer questions and help the students through challenges they may encounter. Teachers are available through Google Hangouts (all grades) and the Ignitia portal for online 3rd – 12th grades.

TCK International Academy has made every effort to make its education the most affordable Christian education anywhere in the world without sacrificing quality and resources for the students and their families as they engage in their academic journey. Our tuition is a one-time payment of $4,100 per student, per year. There are no other fees. Once the school year begins, tuition is non-refundable due to the nature of our service provider and teacher contracts.

The tuition for TCK International Academy includes all curricula needed for one student for one year. Students enrolled in 3rd – 12th grade online Ignitia will be provided with a course room login where all curriculum will be accessed and teacher support. Kindergarten through 2nd grade is a paper book curriculum. A paper book option is also available for 3rd – 6th grade students who receive prior approval by the administration. Tuition for students using paper book curriculum includes books, manipulatives, and teacher support as well as shipping costs to a U.S. address. Tuition for all grades also includes end of year standardized testing fees when available and offered. The tuition does not include lab fees (High School Science), a computer, outside tutoring or other remedial programming, or any additional school supplies.

Yes. TKC International Academy’s state-of-the-art courses can easily transfer to any other institution including public and private schools anywhere in the USA. We received accreditation through NAPS—National Association of Private Schools— in May 2018 and are currently seeking accreditation with ILCS and Cognia. TCK International Academy is also listed with the Missouri Department of Education as a non-public educational institution in good standing.

Yes. Bible is a foundational course for every student who is enrolled in TCK International Academy. All TCK International Academy curriculum is designed with a biblical worldview.

Yes. Technically a student can enroll in 1 course or a full course load. However, there is currently no tuition break for taking just one course. Contact us for more information.

No. Students in 3rd – 12th grades enrolled in the Ignitia online system only need a computer with an internet connection (Cable or DSL) and you are ready to start your coursework. Those students enrolled in the paper book curriculum also do not require special software, but parents/students will need a computer or way to upload images or scans of assessments, projects, and assignments to Google Docs folders.

Students in 3rd – 12th grade enrolled in the online Ignitia system will need a computer or tablet with a typing keyboard that connects to the internet through any modern web browser to access the course room and all assignments. Either a PC or MAC computer can be used, however, you need to be able to view videos to take advantage of all online course content. Any student enrolled in the paper book curriculum option will not necessarily need a computer for curriculum completion (accept for current Art/PE elective video access). However, paper book students will need access to a computer to upload completed assessments, projects, and assignments to the Google Docs folder for mentor teacher review.

After your student enrollment is complete, an Ignitia login and password will be sent to you before the start of classes. Click on the course room login tab on the TCKIA website homepage to access all Ignitia coursework.

TCK International Academy provides a traditional paper book option for Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Starting in fall 2021, there will be a paper book option for 3rd – 6th grade with prior Administration approval. Yes. Through TCK International Academy’s Google Suites, including Google Hangout and Google Meeting, students and teachers will connect regularly for social interaction and academic support.

To enroll your students, fill out an application for each student you wish to enroll. Enrollment for each school year opens in January. The application deadline for students enrolling in paper book curriculum is June 1 (K-2nd, and 3rd-6th with prior administration approval). The deadline is July 1 for 3rd – 12th grades enrolling in the online Ignitia system. 

Yes. TCK International Academy designed and created 1-year courses for both ART and Physical Education electives. Each course will be taken once during Kindergarten – 2nd grades, 3rd – 5th grades, 6th – 8th grades, and 9th – 12th grades. Lessons include text instruction and supporting video teaching. Art and PE courses are part of TCK International Academy’s ongoing fine arts enrichment program and complete, balanced educational approach. High school students have graduation required elective options which are offered through the online Ignitia program.

Yes. Dual enrollment will be offered through partnerships with Nelson University (formerly SAGU) and Evangel University (EU). Dual enrollment will only be available for juniors and seniors who have academically met standards. Contact us for more information.

Yes. We do offer “official” transcripts. However, we can only send them directly to the requesting institution. We can send directly to parents (or students of legal age) only “unofficial” transcripts.

Distance education is the education of students not physically present in a traditional classroom. It is independent, self-regulated learning which may require some instruction, assistance, or general oversight from parents. Distance education is not homeschooling because there is a mentor teacher as facilitator. TCKIA’s distance education model includes individual, self-paced learning with options for online or paper book learning.

The TCKIA 3rd through 12th grade online Ignitia distance education model includes online reading and videos to learn new content then completion of assignments, projects, quizzes, and tests to demonstrate mastery of the subject. It may also include some assignments and projects off-line which the student will upload to the system or provide electronically to the mentor teacher for grading. TCKIA mentor teachers function as facilitators and provide technical support and curriculum assistance for both students and parents. Mentor teachers do not provide “on demand,” live teaching.

TCKIA K-2nd grade is a paper book curriculum. There is also a paper book option for 3rd-6th grade. Although the paper book curriculum requires an adult for implementation, it is still not traditional homeschooling. Mentor teachers also provide facilitation of gradebook accuracy, assessment evaluation for content mastery, and support to families.

Third Culture Kid (TCK) “A Third Culture Kid (TCK) is a person who has spent a significant part of his or her developmental years outside the parents’ culture. The TCK builds relationships to all of the cultures, while not having full ownership in any. Although elements from each culture are assimilated into the TCK’s life experience, a sense of belonging is in relationship to others of similar background.” (From Third Culture Kids by David C.
